RC-50 loop pedal review

Hello!

3 weeks ago I bought my dream pedal: Rc-50 BOSS LOOP STATION Rc-50.

Man, it’s way too addicting. I love it so far. Before I had the mini loop pedal RC-20: Rc-20.
It was good, it lasted me 4 years. But the thing that was bothering me, was the fact that I could only build loops one on top of each others. I couldn’t create separate loops.

The new RC-50 can :) . I can build 3 separate loops at the same time. Switch, stop, play any of them LIVE when I’m playing. I love it. I also have 100 built in drum loops. AMAZING drum loops. Not cheap electronic keyboards one. I mean real mp3′s drum loops with pure quality. I completely HATE a metronome. I find it way too robotic, useless and boring. With these drum loops, I am happy to follow the rhythm :) .

The other thing that I find absolutely amazing, is that the pedal has a USB port. So you can IMPORT any WAV files you want in your pedal. Any drum loop, guitar line, bass line etc. And save it on a loop. So when you are on stage doing a solo, you simply have to press on a loop port with your foot and the instrument will play. You can also EXPORT your created loops!!!! Let’s see you are practicing and you found a cool loop pattern with your instrument. You just have to plug your computer to the pedal and import that loop pattern IN YOUR COMPUTER!!!! How amazing is that!!! My computer is getting filled with a crazy amount of ideas hehehe :p.

The sound quality of the pedal in general is way better than my OLD loop pedal. It was less noise, less distortion. Off course, you don’t really notice it on a live show but if you are alone in a room with both pedals, you can clearly notice the difference.

In case you didn’t know, you can check out my first solo bass video using that new pedal HERE.

You can see a complete detailed description on the pedal HERE. The pedal cost around 700$. My old pedal cost around 300$.

Wow, I didn’t know you were a fan of Street Fighter 2. Yes, you are kick ass bass player….but I bet I kick your ass at SF2 for sure =) eheh.

I have a question about the RC-20…(too poor for the RC-50). When you mentioned (cheap electronic keyboards drum loops), were you talking about the Rc-20′s?
And also…Ehh…je oublié que tu parles français.

    Rock on bro!

    Salut Nicolas!
